This one, co-ordinate to my husband...ROCKED! Essentially, it's similar the sandwich, only layered and baked. One change I fabricated since I was making it for people I didn't know very well, was instead of rye bread, I purchased at my local grocer an "Asiago Cheese Loaf" I recollect any firm bread would be cracking, only the cheese breadstuff, along with the other ingredients, were a perfect friction match. Husband, says,"Put this 1 into the rotation" High praise indeed! :) Also, it was so rich, that I recall that side by side time I can substitute Low Cal 1000 Island, and I know he won't notice!
03/12/2003
This was splendid. My husband and I both loved it. The simply matter I might do different the next time is add more grand island dressing. I call up I would double the amount. This recipe is so easy and much less messy than traditional Reuben sandwiches.

Very tasty! If you lot dearest Reuben sandwhiches, yous volition truly love this casserole. I did the ii-layer arroyo, layering the ingredients twice, with great results. Practice err on the side of *more* dressing and cheese than the recipe calls for to accomplish a moist effect. I also used thousand-isle...super tasty. It *is* an expensive recipe. I found though that the portions are awfully generous: I scaled the recipe back to 4 portions and I however fed a hungry man, myself, and had 2 behemothic lunches leftover. (BTW, I discover it's great reheated...simply make sure to reheat in the oven, not microwave so the bread doesn't get soggy).

I dear Reubens but, sometimes they're a pain to make. I like this recipe because it mimics the taste, if not the essence of a Reuben sandwich. I made this twice earlier posting my comments --- both times in an 11x7 casserole dish and scaling down the ingredients (e.m., 1/2 lb corned beef instead of 1 lb, etc.) TOAST YOUR BREAD! Otherwise, it volition come out soggy. What I did was to cut upwards my bread and put information technology into the goulash dish, then put the dish into the oven while it was warming upwardly. I tuckered, but did not rinse my sourkraut. I recollect that this give a bit more than flavor to the dish. I used Yard Island dressing (instead of Russian) both times. Information technology nevertheless turned out neat. Bask!
07/24/2006
This was delish! My hubby devoured it. I toasted the bread cubes on the advice of previous reviews, and the staff of life ended up being i of the tastiest parts. I also used m Island dressing, and more 3/4 Cup -- I gave it a skillful drizzle over the summit to lightly but evenly coat information technology. The only matter I would exercise dissimilar would exist to get the cheese correct -- I thought I bought a block of swiss, but noticed while I was grating information technology that I had picked up sharp cheddar by fault. Information technology still came out awesome, but the swiss would exist even better. Mmmmm. My husband asked me to put this in regular menu rotation. Updated to add together: I've fabricated this a couple more times now, and with the swiss cheese, which was better every bit I expected. This dish is a neat hitting with our family!
10/10/2002
Definately a keeper! My husband and I both liked it. But the bread was soggy (except for the edges in the pan), may toast it first or use croutons. I used marble rye bread. I made information technology depression fatty with fatty gratis thousand island dressing and low fat cheese and it was still very tasty. Adjacent time I will try Russian Dressing and Turkey!.~~Thanks Monica for sharing!

This receipe was really good, and quick, it tasted simply like a Rueben Sandwich, and then if you like Rueben Sandwiches, you must try this i. First, I would like to agree with the other reviewers that this recipe is EXPENSIVE. I paid $10.15 just for the corned beefiness. Total cost of meal was approximately $xxx.00. I initially purchased a corned beef brisket and begin cooking information technology until I read the recipe and it called for corned beef deli meat. And only a side note, the corned beef brisket takes FOREVER to cook, and I don't call back it would work as well as the cafeteria meat. I listened to the other reviewer's suggestions about the soggy bread, and decided to make a few changes. I spread the breadstuff with butter and toasted in the oven, which made it extremely hard. I likewise layered the casserole in the post-obit matter: The toasted rye, corned beef, sauerkraut, thousand island dressing, Swiss cheese, and repeated the layering, and placed crumbled rye/pumpernickel bread on top of the goulash, sprinkle with no-common salt butter. I as well used canned sauerkraut. I drained it really good, and even squeezed the sauerkraut by hand to clasp the admission water outof it. When I baked the casserole, the bread remained crispy throughout the entire goulash. The simply change I would make is to spray the bread with oil spray and not use actual butter, because the casserole was kind of greasy.

I LOVED this and then did my hubby. I used Grand Island dressing instead of Russian, and I cutting the recipe in half considering it was for just the two of the states and this recipe makes alot!
02/19/2003
I thought this was very skillful. My husband really liked information technology. He even packed it for is luncheon the side by side twenty-four hours, and he doesn't commonly fifty-fifty take a tiffin! I used Grand Isle dressing and increased the corporeality to about ane cup. It's very easy and information technology doesn't take long to melt. You lot can nevertheless have a good, hot meal on those extremely busy days. Next time I brand this,I would similar to effort it with a mustard dressing equally mentioned in ane of the reviews. Thanks for the recipe!
01/27/2007
LOVE, Honey, Honey, THIS RECIPE. This is i of our favorite dinners. Have made this several times. I usually buy a loaf of soft rye, cutting ane/2 into cubes, lightly toast them with a drizzle of olive oil, and then put cubes under broiler. I add together about a bottle of Ken'southward Russian. Tried Thousand Isle dressing, but I think Russian tastes so much better. Also, if you can observe shredded swiss information technology works amend than the slices. I cover the dish with the not stick aluminum foil. Saves the headache of having your cheese stick to the foil. I like to serve this with the Taste of Abode's Creamy Coleslaw recipe also found on Allrecipes. Superb!!!
01/04/2011
I listened to other reviewers and used a one/ii lb of corned beefiness and one,000 island dressing. I likewise sprayed the dish & put the meat at the lesser, put a mix of the saerkraut & dressing side by side, and then I put all the cheese on, on the top I put the rye bread (five slices) and sprayed the breadstuff with pam. I cooked with tin foil for 20 mins and uncovered for 10. It turned out beautiful. If you love reubens, y'all'll love this!
08/17/2006
If there was any manner to give this 0 stars I would. There is no way to meliorate on this.
01/19/2011
First-class! Based on other reviews, I fabricated it upside downwards and toasted the breadstuff earlier putting it on the top layer. I put the corned beef on the bottom, then sauerkraut, then thousand Island dressing, then Swiss cheese, and then toasted rye bread cubes. Sprayed I can't believe it'due south not butter spray generously on the bread cubes. Definitely a keeper. Use cheese and dressing generously.
03/21/2003
I fabricated this for a potluck. I used my 6 qt. oval crockpot and information technology came out nifty. Anybody said that it was the best hotdish. I toasted the bread first then added the other ingredients. I did apply grand island dressing instead of the russian and used more dressing than was stated. As well put the cheese in with the other ingredients and turned the crockpot on low. It was prepare in a couple of hours. Thanks for this wonderful, piece of cake recipe.
12/29/2013
This was great for the crockpot family get-together! Everyone loved information technology. I used a full loaf of 'swirl' rye, 1-1/2 lbs of sliced deli corned beef (cut in strips), 1 quart sauerkraut(drained not rinsed), 16 oz. Thousand Island dressing, and i lb. of sliced Swiss Cheese. Spray the crock with cooking spray. I made two layers of each (in the order I've given). I prepared the nighttime before the shindig and refrigerated so I could start cooking it at 8am. In the morning I cooked on loftier for i/2-hour and then turned to depression for iv-hours. It was yet warm at our destination 1-1/ii hours afterwards and perfect for serving. A not bad hit! And soooo piece of cake! A keeper for become-togethers!
08/03/2002
Much faster and easier that making Reuben Sandwiches. Was nicely surprised that my son enjoyed information technology. A little dry, will add together more dressing.
ten/30/2010
My husband and father actually loved this! I did brand some changes to it tho. I mixed the sauerkraut, corned beef, and the thou island dressing together in a bowl. I sprayed the pan westward/Pam, put the mixture in the pan and spread the swiss cheese on top. So I put the bread on top. I left the bread out for eight hours so it got a piddling crusty. I covered the pan w/foil put in the oven for 20 minutes, accept information technology out and put some more cheese on it and so throw it back in the oven for another 10 minutes.
03/20/2011
try information technology with a cheese with horseraddish in it. It adds a lilliputian kick.
02/08/2003
Crawly, EASY & QUICK dish! I love reuben sandwiches and this is just similar it merely quicker & easier. Anybody's gustation are dissimilar..and so adjacent fourth dimension I may add more cheese (only used 1 i/4 c..didn't have plenty), I'd add together a lilliputian more bread and a tad more dressing. Information technology was a little too dry for me only because I employ a ton of mayo on reg. sandwiches. I would highly recommend this recipe even if you don't similar saurkraut!
eleven/02/2007
This was very quick and easy. The only thing I did dissimilar was to put the corned beef on the bread before the sauerkraut. This helped the breadstuff from getting soggy.
x/30/2010
This is awesome!! Absolutely wonderful. If you like Reuben sandwiches--brand this!! I wish I had made this years ago. I followed the recipe to a 'T'. I used sauerkraut in a purse (Boar'southward Head) considering it is so much better than canned. Layered the sauerkraut on superlative of the cubed rye, corned beef on top of that, 1000 Island dressing and the swiss. So, then good! I had leftovers for lunch today and information technology was fabulous. A keeper.
07/17/2001
This was the all-time - I HATE cooking, but hunger for something other than fast food drove me to offset. I tried the 2 layer suggestion with 1 & 1/2 cups of dressing with Mozz instead of Swiss and it was delish! 4 *easy* ingredients and I have a fantastic meal to last me all week. Yum! Definitely keeping this recipe.
06/ten/2009
This was First-class!! I did follow the proffer of assembling in reverse social club to avert the soggy cust, I placed the corn beefiness on the bottom of a casserole dish sprayed with Pam followed by the sourekraut then the dressing and shredded swiss cheese on top then buttered breadstuff cubes, I used pumpernickel breadstuff. I broiled in a 400 degree oven for 25 minutes and it was perfect.
04/23/2002
I have made this recipe several times and each time I get rave reviews! I make this for the folks who come into our community centre and accept even double the corporeality I make to 50 servings. Folks e'er ask for seconds! Thanks for this recipe. This is definitely a keeper.
05/08/2002
I love this recipe. Very easy and fast to brand. I used pumpernickel bread instead of rye and I used thousand island dressing too. I used more dressing and more cheese as well! Loved it!!!!
06/21/2011
My hubby loves this recipe, thinks it ties for i of his all fourth dimension favorites. I fabricated it with the bread on the bottom ane time, and I idea it tasted better. My husband preferred it without the breadstuff on the bottom. So now nosotros make a split programme to satisfy both of us.
x/12/2009
This was a great dish!! Even my picky kids ate this!! I did take the advice of other reviewers and put the meat in beginning so sauerkraut, then dressing (I used Thousand Island), and then cheese, and finally the bread cubes. I had to employ sliced Swiss cheese, as information technology was what I had on hand. It worked great!! I will definitely brand this again!! Thanks for sharing!
09/08/2008
I only give it 4 stars b/c I modified the recipe equally other users suggested. I had the deli shave the corned beef then I mixed it with the sauerkraut, two cups of Swiss, and a 16 oz. bottle of Thousand Island. I spread that in the pan then topped it with the Rye cubes and 2 more cups of Swiss (nosotros're a cheese family unit.) I idea information technology was great! It didn't crave as much work as assembling each sandwich and was easier for my 4 twelvemonth old to consume.
01/11/2002
I work full-time and needed a dish for a pot-luck dinner at church on a work night. This recipe was fantabulous! Fast, like shooting fish in a barrel & tasty - it got rave reviews from the residuum of the group. It was a dandy modify from the usual "lasagna" and "taco casserole" on the buffet. I prepared all the ingredients the night before and just tossed them together and baked afterward work. I liked the Russian dressing - just like the "original" Reuben sandwich!
02/24/2003
Wow, I detest saurkraut and loved this recipe! I made information technology for my husband because he loves ruebens. I ended upward having a 2nd helping! Fifty-fifty the kiddos liked it!
12/30/2002
My husband and I both loved this. I'll definitely make this one once again. It was keen equally is, but side by side time I might employ a couple of pieces more bread and maybe one-half the sauerkraut just to suit my ain gustation.
12/16/2010
My married man loved this recipe! I used i,000 Isle Dressing in the recipe like many other reviewers recommended. I as well put the cubed rye staff of life on top of the casserole.
03/23/2002
This is so keen! So simple! Ive passed this recipe on to many friends and family and they all honey it. I used 1000 island dressing, considering that's what Im used to, and my aunt added mustard instead of dressing, more than similar a hot pastrami, and information technology was wonderful as well. Cheers for the yummy recipe!
10/nineteen/2007
PERFECT way to utilize up a leftover corned beefiness dinner. I replaced the sauerkraut with chopped cooked cabbage , so drizzled it with lemon juice, salt and pepper. Then everything else as written and it was Then good.
03/27/2009
We love this and have fabricated several times. I put the meat on the bottom, so sauerkraut, 1,000-island dressing, and top with bread cubes lightly tossed with melted butter. I bake for about 15 minutes until the bread gets crispy, then add grated swiss and bake until the cheese melts. I unremarkably end by broiling the cheese for a minute or two. Yummy.
12/12/2009
I followed some other peoples suggestions and I mixed the sauerkraut with the dressing and I flipped the society of the layers, putting the breadstuff on height. It was super adept and everyone raved about how tasty it was!
11/18/2007
Awesome!! The whole family unit loved it & it smelled so practiced while it was cooking. I took the advice of others and toasted the bread in the oven while it was preheating and also placed the corned beefiness over the staff of life and and then topped it with the sauerkraut. The brad was non soggy at all! Thanks for a corking recipe & an easy way to brand Reubens!
03/24/2008
I enjoyed this but side by side time would brand a couple changes. First I would chop up the corned beef so it was easier to serve. And so I would not rinse the sauerkraut since I like that flavor. I did rinse it here and information technology was too bland for my taste. Simply I Dearest reubans and then would make information technology again.
09/23/2007
this was a good quick meal, you tin't get incorrect with a rueben and this was so quick to throw together on those busy nights. I volition definetley put this in the too brand again pile.
03/18/2003
Absolutely fantastic! This is my first review of a recipe, even though I apply then many from this site. My husband who "hates casseroles" loved this one. I used leftover corned beef and I tin't wait to make information technology again! I toasted the rye bread cubes first, and then followed the recipe as directed.
12/02/2006
very expert. tastes just like the sandwich. adjacent time will toast bread. a lilliputian besides soggy. but still enjoyed information technology. thanks!!
12/eighteen/2001
Expensive recipe...total toll for repast $16.11. Volition need to conform a few things next time, volition toast the bread beginning and utilise more than cheese, omit russian dressing (good season) but try 1000 isle like the sandwich is served when eating out. teenage son did not intendance for girl loved.
12/17/2007
I followed the recipe EXACTLY and got rave reviews from my entire family, including my uber-picky father-in-law who is never happy with anything - including restaurant food. This is definitely a keeper!
08/14/2006
I hate to say it just I only didn't savour this similar I thought I would. Nosotros love reubens, and this sounded fantastic but it kind of fell short of my expectations. It was a piddling dry despite the fact that I used more dressing than was called for. My biggest complaint, however, was it's lack of "krautiness". If I made this over again I would use two cans. As it was, I used ane can, and did non rinse.
03/20/2002
Very good, unbelievably easy. I used pumpernickle bread and just 8 ounces of sauerkraut. We don't like casseroles that have a soupy consistency, so this was fine as is. The melted swiss on top was fabulous.
x/16/2007
This was excellant and super easy. I used lowfat 1,000 Island dressing and would have used lowfat cheese if the grocery shop had it in stock. But, the lowfat dressing did not compromise the gustatory modality all.
04/xvi/2011
so expert! I actually bought and made a corned beefiness (cheaper and better!)
11/14/2011
It was dry and not cohesive. We added 1 c of water, used one 1/2 c of thousand isle instead, and mixed 1/2 the cheese into the casserole. We mixed all the ingredients, with the exception of i c of cheese and spread it into a greased cake pan. So topped it with 1 c of cheese. Making the changes I'd requite it a 4-star, only know that I've had ameliorate.
04/22/2017
It was delcious. Definitely toast the bread lightly, unless you similar information technology soggy. Very rich. Will make again.
03/30/2002
I used 1000 isle dressing, because that's what I like. I used more dressing then the recipe called for. This was keen and like shooting fish in a barrel! Cheers for the recipe!
03/19/2008
This was SOooooo good! I have wanted to make a Reuben Casserole for years. I read quite a few reviews and modified very little. I had a large chunk of roast leftover and so I upped the quantities. I used ane# of bread, laid the slices out on a cookie sheet and put in the 400 oven for nigh 3 or so minutes until toasted. Meanwhile I put a 32oz. jar of sauerkraut, tuckered just not rinsed, into the 9x13" casserole. Hub did find Russian dressing (Wishbone at a Safeway) and poured the whole 16oz. bottle on the sauerkraut, mixed it upwardly and spread it out. Put the shredded corned beef over that and so topped it with 2c. shredded Swiss. Broke the toasted staff of life into pieces and spread them over the top. Information technology was fantastic, and so like shooting fish in a barrel and tasty Simply it was non very attractive with the bread on superlative so next time I'll take another 1-2c. shredded Swiss and put it on top. Besides, since the breadstuff is on elevation, I might try to cut a stride and try blistering it before the breadstuff layer for 15 min. so toasting torn upwardly pieces at that point on acme with the last cheese and bake for another x min. (always looking for the easiest way). I broiled it all uncovered with great results. Cheers, it was worth the expect!!!
03/20/2011
A little dry - the side by side fourth dimension I volition use more salad dressing. Also, at that place was not enough sauerkraut relative to the big corporeality of corn beef.
05/23/2011
This really does sense of taste like a Reuben sandwich! I subbed in chiliad island dressing for the Russian mode. I did find myself missing having a sandwich though. It was odd to eat this "taste" with a fork instead of in your hands.
09/22/2007
This is a favorite in our household!
11/28/2010
very good!I used fresh corn beef instead of tin because thats what i had.i substituted velveeta for mild chedder and information technology was a hit with my married man also.
06/11/2001
This was but great! My husband couldn't become enough of it.
03/05/2015
Very yummy! I made it the upside down mode as ane of the reviews recommended. I halved the recipe and i tossed the bread cubes in 3 tbs. melted butter.
03/04/2012
This is actually proficient! Withal, I withal prefer to just make the sandwiches. And you lot can't beat homemade sauerkraut in this recipe if y'all can get your hands on some!
12/14/2011
Making a sandwich is far meliorate than turning the whole thing into a pile of slop. Only make yourself a Reuben. I thought this would be really great, but it's actually only just this side of edible.
03/07/2011
AWESOME! I used fresh corned beef (cooked for 2.5 hours) instead of deli sliced. It was fabled. A great, easy meal. And if you use natural bread and dressing, it isn't unhealthy.
05/03/2003
I did a family taste examination & layed one-half according to the recipe, although I used yard isle dressing & didn't spray the aluminum foil with Pam. The other half, I made with reviewer suggestions by spraying the pan with Pam 1st & then layering information technology with corned beef, sauerkraut, 1000 island dressing, Swiss cheese & lightly toasted rye bread cubes on top (yet with the aluminum foil on top). They were both good merely the preference was for the ane with the staff of life cubes on top. Equally my family unit doesn't like corned beef as much as I practice, I'm going to effort information technology every bit a turkey reuben goulash next. I think this would exist a good recipe for leftover Thanksgiving turkey also.
10/27/2007
Adept sharp flavor. Salty. Easy to brand.
07/17/2010
I have been making this for years and we love it! I spray my dish with cooking spray before layering the ingredients. Sometimes I'll layer everything on the bottom and toss the staff of life w/ a picayune melted butter and put them on top that way the staff of life gets nice and toasty. Only like the sandwich, only easier to assemble and cook! :)
12/05/2008
My husband loves reuben sandwiches so I thought this would be sure hitting. All I got was an "Interesting". I will probably make it again but because its so different.
03/23/2009
We are huge reuben fans and this was not expert at all. I would rather make the sandwich.
06/10/2003
Even my dh who hates saurkraut liked this dish. I toasted my breadstuff beforehand as suggested by previous raters and it wasn't mushy at all. I finished off the leftovers the next twenty-four hours and they were but as adept as the day earlier.
11/xx/2012
This seemed even better the adjacent day, only information technology was exactly what I was looking for. Satisfied my reuben craving. Followed other reviewers advice and... Sprayed goulash dish with "pam," spread the corned beef first then layer with the sauerkraut and salad dressing mixture, then swiss cheese. Summit it with bread, that has either been buttered or sprayed with "pam." When the rye bread topping is toasted, the casserole is done
07/10/2007
This was adept and easy based on a few changes. I too toasted the bread (nighttime rye) in olive oil. I used Bavarian sugariness sauerkraut,1000 Island Dressing and shredded swiss cheese. 3/4 lb of meat was enough.
02/06/2008
My family unit, especially my married man, loved this casserole! It had only the correct ruben flavor. I changed the recipe a footling by putting staff of life cubes on peak and bottom of the casserole, but adjacent fourth dimension I would just put them on pinnacle. There seemed to be besides much staff of life with both. Other than that, this recipe was a great striking. My husband requested information technology at to the lowest degree once a week.
09/xv/2002
YUMMY!! I have been a long-time lover of reuben sanwiches and this dish did not disappoint! Information technology was the perfect alloy of ingredients and was then flavorful! I did substitute g Island dressing for the Russian. I will almost definitely make this as often every bit possible.
04/03/2003
WOW! This is one of the best things I ever fabricated! Like others suggested, I toasted the bread outset. I put 4 cubed slices on the bottom of a small oval casserole dish. I layered it with thin slices of deli corned beefiness, a mixture of saurkraut (sp?) and Russian dressing, slices of Swiss cheese, and so repeated all the layers again. I used an 8oz. bottle of dressing and a 14 oz. tin of saurkraut. I then followed the cooking time and temperature. I will definately make this once more!
03/20/2010
Anybody loved this recipe. I used Thousand Island because I could not find Russian in the shop. I switched the layers so the sauerkraut was on the bottom and bread cubes on tiptop.
04/17/2003
Neat casserole! It really tasted alot like a reuben sandwich. I substituted Pumpernickel, that I put on the top of my casserole and then the staff of life wouldnt be mushy, then sprinkled some shredded mozzarella on top. I cubed some swiss cheese with the meat, sauerkraut and dressing and mixed it together rather than layering. I like an even mixture and this turned out great. I used virtually a half bottle of 1000 island dressing too. Cheers for the great recipe !
12/26/2007
This is a care for and it got raves from my married man. I had most half a loaf of the small cocktail size pumpernickel rye left over from another use. I used that and layered all in a rectangular 3 qt. casserole dish lined with the non-stick foil. I bankrupt the bread squares in half. Bread, beefiness, cheese, sauerkraut, dressing, repeat, and and so end with a niggling more than breadstuff. I used a scant cup of thousand island dressing, about 10 oz. of sliced cheese cutting in strips, and nigh one/2 lb. of beef. I besides put a little melted butter on the bread layers. I didn't utilize the full 16 oz. of sauerkraut but I retrieve it would have been equally skilful if I had gone ahead and used information technology all. Cooked covered with a glass lid for 30 minutes and then uncovered and added terminal layer of cheese and cooked x more minutes. This is a perfect recipe for taking the ingredients and "eyeballing" it to your own satisfaction.
01/16/2002
What an incredibly fast and tasty dish. All that is required is that you can cut up bread and meat. And so simple. Truly became an all time favorite. Highly recommended!
04/11/2009
This goulash was excellent I did use more of the dressing than is chosen for as others had suggested
05/01/2003
My boyfriend can't cook at all. I was looking for a simple recipe that he could make, but that would still produce an issue that would exist proud of. This was FANTASTIC. I love Reubens. I tin can't look to have this again. This has officially become ane of "his" recipes. Update... My boyfriend has fabricated this recipe 2x since my original review, and it is even so great. We use 1000 island as the dressing. I reviewer said that pasta made it dry. What pasta?
04/eighteen/2005
I am Actually shocked after making this - especially because everyone else loved information technology. My husband (who LOVES Reubens) didn't like information technology - and he likes ANY affair with meat and cheese. This is the ONLY recipe on this site that ever turned out strange for me. Obviously, it tasted like a reuben, minus the slices of bread. The staff of life cubes were really weird, so we ended upward picking them out. The reuben goulash might be as well much of a stretch for traditional Reuben lovers. Since there are leftovers, nosotros're going to only use everything Just the bread cubes for regular sandwiches.
02/10/2008
I love Reuben sandwiches, and this recipe was peachy. I like my sandwiches with a lot of thousand isle dressing and then I used quite a fleck more than called for and I also put it under the broil only until the cheese started to brown. Tasted great, thank you!
01/06/2002
This is an excellent recipe!! I used m island instead of russian dressing; however, my family loved it and went back for seconds!! Definitely a keeper!!
03/21/2003
This recipe is WONDERFUL! Information technology had great flavor and it was so easy to make. I cut the Rye staff of life into larger chunks so they really had a dainty chewy/crunchy texture. I likewise added extra grand island dressing, simply cut the sauerkraut in one-half. Definitely a keeper! Thanks so much for a neat meal.
eleven/eleven/2007
Delicious! I followed another suggestions by using M Island dressing, and putting the corned beef on top of the bread… then sauerkraut. I can't await to make it again! Cheers, Monica!
02/24/2002
This is and then expert- it'due south one of my husband's favorite meals. Information technology is so easy to put together. The only negative is that information technology doesn't taste as good reheated the next day- the staff of life gets too soggy.
06/11/2001
This recipe is outstanding! I made information technology last night for the first time and I can't say enough nigh information technology! It was piece of cake to prepare -- the hardest part was keeping my husband away from the corned beef! You lot MUST try this!!
05/12/2010
This recipe was ok. Information technology turned out just fine and we ate it, but it is not as good as the original sandwich, which I love. Maybe it was the texture, but side by side fourth dimension, I'll just brand the sandwiches.
12/17/2002

I thought this recipe was good, but not equally skilful as I expected. Taking the advice of other reviewers, I likewise used Yard Island dressing and added actress. I added a layer of toasted Rye Bread cubes on the meridian too, and and so sprinkled the cheese on. This worked bully, as the height layer was nice and crunchy. Next fourth dimension, I would eliminate the bottom layer altogether. Even with toasted bread, the bottom was just too soggy for me.
